**Accounting and reporting processes** From what you describe, a good part of the area’s work is manual and could be generated or validated by the system. We would recommend starting with an assessment of accounting and reporting processes.

**Systems and integration** The processes seem defined, but the systems do not support them or do not integrate with each other. We would recommend a review of the integrations before any development.

**Project management** Finance knows the outcome it wants and IT can build it, but no one is in charge of the project. In those cases the first step is to define scope, plan and owner.
