Regulatory reporting

Development and automation of the reports that financial institutions file with the SBS (Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP, Peru’s banking, insurance and pension fund regulator) and the BCRP (Banco Central de Reserva del Perú, the central bank), and of the financial control processes behind them.

For banks, savings banks, finance companies, insurers and pension fund managers (AFP), and for companies that prepare financial statements and the SIRE (Peru’s integrated electronic records system) with a volume of information that spreadsheets no longer handle well.

Reports we build

  • SBS: daily liquidity position (Annex 15AI), liquidity coverage ratio (Annex 15AII), deposit insurance fund (Annexes 17A and 17B) and treasury reports.
  • BCRP: reserve requirement reports 1 to 4, advance reserve requirement (report 5) and final reserve requirement reports.
  • Financial statements: Form A (financial position), Forms B and B1 (income), Form C (cash flows) and Form D (changes in equity).
  • SIRE, bank reconciliations, journal entries, budgets and provisions, expense control.

How we do it

We start from the extracts the core system already produces; it does not need to be modified. On top of them we build the report in the institution’s system or, when there is no suitable one, in a solution developed in Excel with VBA or in Power Platform. In every case the report includes validations before filing and is documented. Under a maintenance contract, we update the report when the regulation changes.

Expected result

Every report has a defined data source, documented calculation rules and a person in charge. The finance team reviews and approves the report before filing, without reprocessing the information.

Frequently asked questions

Do you know the current formats?

Yes. We keep the reports up to date when the SBS or the BCRP changes their structure or deadlines, under a maintenance contract.

Is it compatible with our core system?

We work on extracts from the core, so we do not depend on its brand or version.

What if we do it in Excel today?

That is a common starting point. We review the current workbook, turn it into a process with validations and version control, and assess with you whether moving to a platform is worthwhile.

Who operates the report after implementation?

The institution’s team. We deliver documentation and training.
